Day 1

Pick up from the airport, have a Turkish tea or coffee and get to know each other before the journey begins. All refreshed we will start a short walk into Antakya Old City Center followed by a delicious dinner in a very natural environment, just in the middle of Dafne waterfalls.

Day 2

After breakfast we will start with the history of Hatay from its beginnings in Hatay Archeology Museum well known for the beautiful mosaics collection dating from Roman Empire and for the Hittites artifacts found in the area. Walking distance from the museum we will visit St Peter Church and will enjoy a beautiful view of Antakya.
Next stop will delight us with a traditional desert, haytali, followed by a visit of Habibbi Neccar Mosque – first Mosque in Anatolia.
We will return to the hotel on the first lighted street with gas in the world but not without checking also Antakya Bazar.

Day 3

After breakfast in the hotel we will be heading to St Simeon Church for breathtaking landscapes and impressive ruins of this old church.

Next stop is Vafliki village, the single Armenian village left in Turkey. Here we will walk into another world, checking is the Tree of Moses really makes us live forever, have lunch with locals and take time to buy their homemade produced goods (gems, liquors, wine etc)
After a good lunch and a Turkish coffee we will head to Vespasianus Titus Tunnel, build in the first century during Vespasian, Titus and Antoninus Pius ages, a tunnel that can deviate water even nowadays due to its well preservation.
For dinner we will return to Antakya for a nice evening in one of the best restaurants in town.

Day 4

A day to enjoy the sun and sea In Iskendrun and Arsuz, we will listen stories about Turkey, tradition, religion, history and taste some more good food.

Day 5

Today is just the day we want to hear your opinion about what you have discovered, what can we do better and depending on your flight hour maybe we have time also for a short shopping session.

  1. i’ve seen and done most of the pleaces and activities described and i can say it’s much more than this. it’s a place i could not imagine that exists!
    civilizated people, modern with traditional all together, incredible well prezerved artifacts…..
    the food, one of the best in the world!

  2. I have taken this tour and it is simply stunning. A lot of history combined with amazing landscapes and incredible food – one of the best I ever had. The diversity of the food and unique tastes make it an unforgettable experiance.

    The visit to the Hatay Archeology Museum is a must, as well as the trip to the seaside. You should also try the sweets 🙂
